Remote option:

Link for online class on Tuesday and Thursday at 15:30
In class I am writing on a tablet. The writing is projected onto a screen in the room there. That same screen is shared via Zoom, so that you can hear me talk and also see what I am writing. This may be a good option for some of you.

Exams:

Exam 1: Thursday 9/30/2021 from 3:30-4:50PM in class
The exam will cover Elementary Principles of Mechanics, Variational Principles, Lagrange's Equations and Hamilton's Principle, i.e. Chap. 1 and 2 in the book, and HW 1 and 2.
Note: Students are allowed to bring one sheet of letter size paper with handwritten notes on one side.

Exam 2: Tuesday 11/4/2021 from 3:30-4:50PM in class
The exam will focus on Central forces, Rigid Bodies and Rotations, i.e. Chap. 3, 4, and 5 in the book, and HW 3, 4, 5.
Note: Students are allowed to bring one sheet of letter size paper with handwritten notes on one side.

Final Exam: Thursday 12/9/2021 from 13:15-15:45 in College of Education Bldg Boca Room 111
The final exam is cumulative, but the main emphasis will be on Hamilton's equations, Canonical transformations and Hamilton-Jacobi (Chap. 8-10 in Goldstein). But do not forget things like Lagrangians.
Note: Students are allowed to bring one sheet of letter size paper with handwritten notes on both sides.
